When we pray and worship, we make ourselves aware of His presence; we become present with Him

Q: What is worship to you?

God is always present with us, His presence never leaves us. When we pray and worship, we make ourselves aware of His presence; we become present with Him. When we talk about the Holy Spirit, or the kingdom of God manifesting, it is not that the kingdom or the presence of God is not already here, but by prophetic worship and prayer we become aware of Him, that is one of the reasons why the scripture calls us to do it. It is not only we that long for His presence, He longs for our presence. That's how I view worship and prayer.

Q: Would you then say that worship is not only performing a musical piece, but that it extends to any area where we are aware?

Yes. It is not as much an activity as it is a state of being. Worship always flows from the heart. Worship is the state of your heart, that is why king David from the Old Testament was called after God's own heart, because he was a man of worship.

Q: What's up in your life at the moment?

I’ve written a new book that is about the subject you just asked about. I am writing about rediscovering the spiritual disciplines in the scriptures like prayer, worship, and fasting. I feel that traditionally it is taught as a way of "earning" God’s blessing, but I am writing from the perspective of being aware that it is a way to align yourself with Him. That is what worship is all about. God is lifted high, He is the highest whether we like it or not.

Q: Is there a limit to ”on earth as it is in heaven”?

Probably on one hand, but on the other hand God has not really defined the limit, so why not expect as much as possible?

Q: How will God empower us?

In different ways according to the individuals gifts, talents, and personality we have. God flows through your personality. Personality is the instrument that God uses.
